Rug Huggers, Napoleon, Minuets, Teacup, Miniature and Persian Kittens

A Rug-Hugger is a Designer Cat in which 2 selective Breeds have come together to make one 'Eternal Kitten'
This Capitivating breed originated from a Persian and a Munchkin cat. They have the darling short legs of a Munchkin, and the stunning beauty of a Persian. THE ONE AND ONLY AUTHENTIC MINIATURE PERSIAN!
These 'Fun Sized' Kitties have "Velcro personalities" They literally stick to you!!! They love to be near you, and dont like to be left alone. Ideally they like go in pairs, have a friend to play with, or another suitable house pet. Playful and super affectionate, you can guarantee at a social gathering they will be centre of attention! The Standard with their tiny 2-3 inch legs set them apart from all other breeds. Super cute, they stand up on the hind legs to see over objects! Add this to their incredibly expressive Doll face, and cubby cheeks, they will melt your heart!
History
An American Basset Hound breeder called Joseph Smith is credited with the creation of the Napoleon breed. The story goes that he was inspired by the Wall Street Journal's front page feature of the Munchkin on June 12, 1995. He liked the Munchkin but noted that Munchkin kittens with long legs (without the short leg mutation) were not discernable from any other domestic cat so decided to create a cat that would be unique in both short and long legged versions. The Persian was chosen to outcross with the Munchkin because of its luscious coat.
In January 2015, TICA's board of directors voted to change the name of the breed to the Minuet. The breed group is still recognized as the Napoleon by the Cat Fanciers Federation. It is not currently recognized by the Cat Fancier's Association, American Cat Fanciers Association, GCFF, or Fédération Internationale Féline.
Behaviour
The Minuet breed combines the active and agile behaviours of the Munchkin with the lap cat principles of a Persian. They are surprisingly fast across the floor and are amazingly great at jumping! If you offer a Minuet Rug-Hugger a warm lap to curl up in then you are sure to have a friend for life - or at least for however long they want a cat nap!
Extremely rare Minuet/Napoleon cats are endearingly called Rug Huggers in USA, because of the short legs of a Standard (Short legged).
Napoleons have been renamed by TICA as Minuets, but are still known as Rug Huggers and Napoleons, also known as Miniature and Teacups Persians.

Minuet Kittens are virtually unheard of in the UK, due to very few Long haired Munchkins available to start the line. They are derived from Persian/Long haired Munchkin parents, to create a beautiful short legged Persian.
It took me 3 years to find my beautiful long haired white Munchkin female, and I put her to my stunning Golden Persian boy to create the breed in the UK in 2017. Having 4 generations of Minuets in my line now, which took 7 years to complete, my Minuets are the likes of which can only be found in the USA and abroad.
Sweet natured and handled daily, my kittens are loved and spoilt, and kept spotlessly clean!
Unlike short legged dogs they do not have back problems and are just as agile as normal cats, if not a bit quicker! Sweet and loving natured, kittens come as Standards (short legs) and Non standards (long legs) Usually only a quarter of a litter will be short legged, hence why Standard Minuets are rare and more expensive than their normal legged siblings.
A short legged must never be breed with another short leg as they carry a lethal gene which means kittens will not survive.
Non standard kittens will look much like a normal Persian, with a long thick coat, and doll face. I have parents here to view. Kittens are been loved and cared for to the highest standards. These kittens are really special. They are handled daily, and need a 1st class very special loving homes. Mum and dad are both superb temperament, well groomed, loved and cared for. Being indoor cats they take very little grooming.
